- The product has been designed to meet the needs of hotel customers who also need travel, and as an alternative to the packaged sale of flight and accommodation that is usually done through online travel agencies (OTAs) or tour operators.
- Thanks to the integration of both companies, hotel chains and independent hotels have full control of their product and its packaged sale at a lower cost.
Roiback, specialist and leader in the management of the direct hotel sales channel, has reached an agreement with the Destinia group so that the nearly 2,000 hotels in the portfolio of the Mallorcan technology company, present in more than 50 countries, can market combined flight + hotel packages through its official website.
This product has been specially designed to respond to hotel clients who also need travel, and as an alternative to the packaged sale of flight and accommodation that is usually done through online travel agencies (OTAs) or traditional tour operators, also differentiated by its cross-selling as transfers, car rentals and cancellation insurance and assistance.
Through this functionality, the hotelier can package from its website its special and exclusive rates with the flights provided by Destinia (more than 600 airlines), which allows it to have full control of the packaged rates it wants to sell through its direct channel at a lower cost and thus offer an added service to the customer, who will not have to go to another website to buy their flight.
In addition, this innovative solution stands out for its quick and easy implementation, is available to users in 24 different languages (including Chinese and Arabic), is fully adapted to mobile devices, has a call center service during business hours and supports the main payment methods on the market, among other advantages.
“We are proud to join this new strategic alliance with such a prestigious partner in the tourism sector as Destinia Group. Through this agreement, all our collaborating hotels will be able to implement the flight + hotel solution in their direct channel by the hand of specialists, which will allow them, on the one hand, to offer added value to their customers and, on the other hand, to compete in the package product where the OTAs are leaders. Having control of the prices of the packaged product and being able to compete in the same way as in the hotel-only product is a concern for many hotels that is very well solved with this solution,” said Rebeca González, Managing Director of Roiback.
“We firmly believe in the importance of democratizing access to tools that facilitate online sales so that hoteliers can be much more competitive players in the market. With this agreement we are taking a step further in this direction, as we are not only providing cutting-edge technology, but also the experience of our companies in the sector; an essential added value for the chains to be able to compete in the market with the OTAs,” said Ricardo Fernández, Managing Director of Destinia.
